They are also the only ones in which the treatment is digitally planned, which means less treatment time than with mass-produced brackets.
ADVANTAGES OF INCOGNITO TREATMENT
- It is totally invisible, as the brackets are cemented behind the teeth and cannot be seen.
- It is a custom-made appliance, the base of the bracket fits perfectly to the shape of the inside of your teeth and the groove part is very close to the tooth, it protrudes very little so it will be easy for you to adapt and talk to it.
- The treatment is digitally planned and you can see the final position of your teeth before you start.
- The control of root movements is very precise and works perfectly as a conventional treatment for rotations and impacted canines for example.
- It is an excellent appliance to perform expansions of the maxillary arch as it pushes from the inside to achieve greater expression of activation with less pressure.
- It is a treatment indicated for correcting any type of malocclusion.
- The appliance is cemented to the inside of your teeth, there is no way to lose it or leave it forgotten in a napkin.
- As it is personalised, the treatment time is shorter.
- You can drink a cocktail, coke, coffee,… without having to worry about your appliance as it will not be stained.
- You can eat with peace of mind as the food will not be seen if it gets stuck in the appliance.
DISADVANTAGES OF INCOGNITO TREATMENT
- The first week you may notice a slight lisp until you get used to having the brackets attached to your teeth.
- It is important to dedicate time to the hygiene of your teeth, the use of an interproximal brush and dental irrigator are very useful to keep plaque at bay.
- Every 6 months it is a good idea to have your teeth cleaned to ensure that your gums remain healthy throughout your treatment.
- As with other cemented braces, you cannot eat hard or sticky things during treatment (small pieces of bread, biting into an apple, coffee candy with milk,…).
